In 1994, Excel Propane opened its second office in Fremont, MI. A 2-acre parcel at the corner of M-120 and M-82 was purchased that included a farmhouse. Guess what that farmhouse became? It was our office building! Along with the farmhouse office building, a 30,000 gallon storage tank was installed. This was how the Fremont office got started!
About 3 years later, 1997, a 4 stall pole barn garage building was constructed for storage and truck maintenance. A year later, another 30,000 gallon storage tank was installed on site to help keep up with the demand of the new office. The work didn’t stop there because in 2001 two more 30,000 gallon storage tanks were installed. Then in 2002 a brand new office building was constructed to support the growing office and the farmhouse was torn down.
As you look at the Fremont office today, it looks quite different than the original farmhouse and storage tank. It now has a modern office with 120,000 gallons of propane storage. The 4-stall garage has become the home of our company wide truck maintenance program which is overseen by our Fleet manager. The Fremont office has a power house team that is ready to take any challenge.
